It is really interesting chapter with lot of details, which can help to write strong argumentation paper. The most surprising point for me on this chapter was difference in argumentation and persuasion. The new subject matter I learned from this chapter is about deductive and inductive argument.
This chapter gives main layouts to make strong argumentative essay, which includes various steps like;
- selection of topic,
-necessary to make debatable thesis statement,
-support the thesis statement by collecting different evidences,
-evidences should be relevant and sufficient to support the main idea,
-most importantly, credential for the evidence is essential while writing argumentation paper,
-lastly, opposing view point is important to make the paper strong.
